Compile Timer object Matlab 2013b

Hello, I was wondering whether new solutions have come up for problems involving compiling timer objects? is it still necessary to use waitfor to stop the program from ending? Or is there a possiblity where TasksToExecute can be Infinite? All help is appreciated!
