How to get bode transfer function from state space model?

Hi everybody I am having problems to get the Bode transfer function from the state space model.

Suppose I have a idss structure M of the state space model. Now consider the following code:

% M is a state space model in a idss structure
sys = tf(M.A,M.C,M.D);
figure(1)
bode(M,w) %w = vector of radiant frequency
figure(2)
bode(sys,w)

Why are the 2 plots completely different if they represent the same state space system?

I was also looking to build the Bode transfer function myself as C*(sI - A)^-1 *B+D but is there a way in matlab to perform such calculations with an unkown?
