about Kalman filter for object tracking

Hi, I read this Kalman Filter based example:
http://www.mathworks.it/it/help/vision/examples/using-kalman-filter-for-object-tracking.html
but i don't understand how can i choose/measure the noise statistics like: - the position noise variance R; - the state noise variance Q;
some suggestion ?
