convert video frames back to video of avi format

is it possible to convert video frames back to video of avi format.... please can someone help me how to do it??

sir when i used VideoWriter i got error
??? Undefined function or method 'VideoWriter' for input arguments of type 'char'.
Error in ==> Untitled3 at 1
writerObj = VideoWriter('peaks.avi');
i'm using matlab version 7.9.... is it the version problem....
