GUI Callback Function Not appearing

I have been creating a GUI using GUIDE. All has been good, however, I closed the script and GUIDE. When I reopened GUIDE and the script, added a push button to GUIDE and saved the work, none of the callback functions of that button appeared in the script associated with the GUI. This was repeated when other elements were added to the GUI. Is there a reason for this?
