FIFO Baseboard RS232 Send Receive

I'm trying to understand this demo model available in simulink xptarget library.

I already did the virtual connection of COM1 and COM2 using null model cable. But when I execute the model nothing happens, I actually think that some graph should appear showing the sine waveform. I don't understand this scope(xPC).Has someone ever come across through this?
