I would like to remove the installation of a toolbox in a convenient way.
rm -rf $MATLAB
removes the entire installation, but I would like to have a simplified option to remove specific toolboxes.

To uninstall MATLAB on UNIX or Linux, use the following command:
rm -r $MATLABROOT
where $MATLABROOT is your root MATLAB directory.
To remove a toolbox, remove all files the toolbox directory with the command:
rm -r $MATLABROOT/toolbox/<toolbox_name>
You may also want to remove the corresponding INCREMENT line in the license file. This file can be found in MATLAB's "etc" directory. Open this with a text editor (vi, pico, etc), locate the INCREMENT line that refers to the toolbox in question, and remove that section.
