Resolve Issues with Data Transfer
Issue
Successful data transfer between your radio and host depends on the specifications and quality of your network connection. If you successfully connect and set up your radio using the Radio Setup wizard and your radio passes the validation steps, you can still encounter issues with data transfer. You can experience errors with data transfer in multiple ways:
Errors in the command window. For example:
RFnocError: OpTimeout: Control operations timed out waiting for ACK
Dropped samples when the host data transfer rate cannot keep up with radio.
Possible Solutions
Revalidate Radio Configuration
Return to the Radio Setup wizard and follow the instructions to revalidate your radio setup. If you encounter any issues, see Resolve Issues with Radio Setup Validation for possible solutions.
Configure Network Settings on Windows
On a Windows® host, the network adapter settings can affect the connectivity and performance of the network connection. To configure these settings to the recommended values, see Configure Network Settings on Windows Host.
Configure Network Settings on Linux
For information about the recommended settings on a Linux® host, see USRP Host Performance Tuning Tips and Tricks.
Optimize or Upgrade Network Connection
If you are using a 1 Gigabit NIC, consider upgrading to a 10 Gigabit NIC.
If you are using a USB3/Ethernet adapter dongle:
If you are also using a laptop, connecting the laptop to a power supply can improve data transfer speed.
Consider trying a different model of adapter.
Consider having an additional NIC installed on your computer that you can use to connect to the radio.
