Install Support Package for NI USRP Radios
The Wireless Testbench™ Support Package for NI™ USRP™ Radios enables you to connect and set up your NI USRP radio for use in Wireless Testbench. Use one of the following options to install the support package.
Add-Ons Panel
Since R2025a
Open the Add-Ons panel by clicking the Add-Ons icon on the left sidebar of the MATLAB® desktop.
Search for the Wireless Testbench Support Package for NI USRP Radios.
Select the support package from the list and click the Install button.
In the Add-On Installer window, proceed through the steps then click Install.
When the support package installation is complete, you can proceed directly to setting up the radio for use in Wireless Testbench by clicking Setup Now. You can now use the Radio Setup wizard to set up your radio.
File Exchange
Download and install the support package from File Exchange by clicking Download, then running the installer.
When the support package installation is complete, you can proceed directly to setting
up the radio for use in Wireless Testbench by clicking the setup button
in the Add-On Manager window. You can now use the Radio Setup wizard to
set up your radio.
Hardware Manager App
Since R2024b
First, open the Hardware Manager
app. On the Apps tab in the MATLAB Toolstrip, under Test and Measurement, click the app.
Alternatively, enter hardwareManager in the MATLAB command prompt. Then, follow these steps.
Click Add Hardware.
For Hardware type/interface, choose Software-Defined Radios (SDR).
For Select your SDR, choose your USRP radio from the dropdown menu.
Click Install.
When the support package installation is complete, you can proceed directly to setting up the radio for use in Wireless Testbench by clicking Setup Now. You can now use the Radio Setup wizard to set up your radio.
MATLAB Package Manager
You can programmatically install products by using the MATLAB Package Manager
(mpm). For more information, see Install Support Packages Noninteractively.
