DICOM standard is used in medical imaging. This previewer gives a list of files from a selected directory. Header and image data of the selected file are displayed immediately. Sample images are available at: <http://www.mathworks.ch/matlabcentral/fileexchange/loadFile.do?objectId=2762> from Jeff Mather.

- a selector for header entries,
- path as argument
- handles gracefully any non-DICOMs
- image is exactly 512x512 pixels
