It tracks the red led of my optical mouse. A webcam is used to take the video.
This is a simple application.
i have used color segregation technique on grayscale format. Other color formats can also be tried.
I determined the co-ordinates of the centroid of the region of the led. Then using the Java Robot class, the mouse pointer is sent to that co-ordinates. My webcam had max resolution of 640x480. I also used cyberlink webcam filter. Windows Vista operating system.
