This Simulink model provides an interface for the Slamtec RPLidar A1 using serial communication. The model automates the 'Standard Mode' initialization and performs real-time data acquisition at a rate of 10 Hz. It features an integrated processing pipeline that transforms raw polar measurements (θ, r) into a 2D Cartesian (x, y) point cloud, visualizing the environment with a resolution of 1,000 points. It is an ideal starting point for researchers developing SLAM or obstacle avoidance algorithms.
