working with large s parameter using sparameters();

I run sparameters on a .S245P then run

s_obj = sparameters(pcb_sparm_file);

but no s_obj is created in the workspace.

I assume the file is too big, but I am unsure how to shrink and process similar files or .S100P sparameter files.
