Need help with datestr

datestr returns characters as '24-Jan-2003 11:58:15', but what I need to do is just get the time stamp rather than the date attached as well, would any one know how to extract just the time using datestr or any other method? Any help would be great thank you.

yourdate='16-Aug-2013 15:54:31'
datestr(yourdate,'HH:MM:SS')
