Consider two different approaches
n = 15; % how many points to plot
r = 2;
th = linspace(pi,2*pi,n);
x = r*cos(th);
y = r*sin(th);
subplot(2,1,1)
plot(x,y); grid on
axis equal
x = linspace(-2,2,n);
y = -sqrt(r^2-x.^2);
subplot(2,1,2)
plot(x,y); grid on
axis equal
