solving change point problem via simulation

Actually I'm trying to solve a "change point problem" via "simulated annealing" tool to find the best configuration of points. I have an energy function that should be minimized in each iteration. I have an initial matrix for the location of points in a text file. I wrote my function and tried to use optimtool ans SA tool to find the uptimum solution but I don't know how can I save the values for the decision variables in the text file substituting the previous locations and load that again..Any idea? And also do you have any sample code for solving the change point problem in Matlab? Thank you
