how to extract features from wavelet transform

i have some time series data and extracted features from that, mean, standard deviation, variance, ZCR etc. now i want to get features from wavelet transformation. but i don't know how and what features can i get from that dimension. all the papers i glances only mention the features but don't tell how? some one has experience in that.

I have the same problem, we can extract two things from signals: variables and cofficients , when I get variables i do not know how to classify it in two classes, depend in what?... and the problem with coefficients is there are not names, it is only numbers, so , how i can classify it !!
