Hi, I just tried xlswrite and it looks like I am missing actxserver in both R2013(mac) and R2007b(windows). Not sure why but if I try
Warning: Could not start Excel server for export.
XLSWRITE will attempt to write file in CSV format.
> In xlswrite at 175
>> Excel = actxserver('Excel.Application');
Undefined function 'actxserver' for input arguments of type 'char'.
Any ideas?

activex cannot be used on OS-X or Linux as those operating systems do not support ActiveX. It should be present on MS Windows; but if you do not have Excel installed on your MS Windows machine then it would revert to Basic mode.

I have sama error: Undefined function 'actxserver' for input arguments of type 'char'.
I use iMac (late 2009) and OSX 10.9.4. Matlab is 2014a (student) and I try write Excel-files using xlswrite. So, how I can write to Excel?
