Hello,
I've written and compiled a standalone executable application using Matlab Compiler. Currently, upon initiation of the program, the program reads an Excel file for the needed input data, performs the necessary calculations, and displays the corresponding results in the Matlab GUI. Everything seems to be working fine.
What I'm after now is a way for a user to pass in the variables necessary to perform the calculations without having to use an Excel input. That is, is there a way to have another program or some type of text-based input file pass a set of variables into my standalone Matlab program? I guess I'm thinking something along the lines of an API passing data into my Matlab application...
Thanks in advance for any advice.
~Cliff

You can pass arguments in on the command line, if you want to do it that way. Or else you can ask the user to specify the file, via a button or menu that calls uigetfile() in its callback function.
