Box plot whisker details

Hello. I would like more details on what the whiskers in the box plot function specifies. Right now it says +/–2.7σ and 99.3 percent coverage. What percentile does this refer to?

You trimmed the last part of the sentence off.
99.3 percent coverage if the data are normally distributed.
So, assuming your data is normally distributed, wisker to whisker covers 99.7% of the values you would expect to see. Remember, +/- 1 std is 68% 2 stds is 95%, and 3 stds is 99.7% of the data.
