Extracting elements from result array

This is the code I used after the code for the dropdown list that I created.

if all(ismember(result,[ 1 7 10]))

Is it possible to write first_salt = result(1,3) or someting like that and then send first_salt as an input to a function?

Or how can I write if I want to refer to the first element from the result array.
