Change position of exponent of y axis in figure

Hey,

I am wondering if there is a possibility to change the position of the exponent of the y axis in a figure.

In my case the " x10³ " or so is placed on the right side of the axis where it is interfering with the figure title (which is a little long).

But I havent found the handle to place it on the left side of the axis. TickDir='out' only changes the lines of the ticks but not the placement of the exponent.

If there is a way to do this, please let me know.
