Direct thresholding method for matlab

Has anybody know anything about direct thresholding that ı have seen on the manuscript is name" Wavelet based methods on patterned fabric defect detection"

There are certainly several built-in routines for thresholding wavelet and wavelet packet coefficients in the Wavelet Toolbox for both 1-D and 2-D data. Without more details about the methods in the manuscript you cite, I cannot be more specific than that.
