Dot indexing is not supported for variables of this type - Model Advisor

I am trying to run the MISRA C:2012 modelling standards checks on my model. When performing the checks that require an update diagram I get the error

But running a usual update model or building the model is fine.

Can anyone point me in the direction that could fix this?
