is it possible to specify a project library only

Hi,
I have been trying to specify a specific folder to contain project files. The code in the files is altered to be specific to the project, but is similar to code Ive used elsewhere.
I would therefore like to specify where matlab looks for the project library - not permanently set a library folder. So just a folder that the code currently running will look in first.
Any ideas if this is possible? Google search and search in this forum have not shown up much.
thanks

You should be able to use private functions for this. More information about private functions can be found in the MATLAB documentation:

Almost exactly what I was looking for, will take a bit of rearranging of my files, Id have preferred the private file above and not below the calling file, but a very workable solution. Thanks
