finding x0 in ziggurat algorithm

If I am to get 3 rectangles and 1 base, how can I get value of x0, which is the start point of infinite tail of distribution?

So you want to know how to find the equivalents of the numbers 0.83, 1.17, 1.47, 1.78, and 2.18 in the plot on this post on Cleve's blog? I think you might find the randntx function in the Numerical Computing with MATLAB toolbox on the File Exchange and the corresponding "Random Numbers" chapter in the book interesting.

So you mean the randntx function is used to get those values (0.83, 1.17, 1.47, 1.78 and 2.18) ?
