3D Labels With Fixed Orientation

Hi. I want to add labels to 3d figures. Currently I'm using the text function but I find that it can be messy because the orientation is fixed to face the viewer instead of a fixed orientation to the axes. I was wondering if there was some sort of work around for that. The symbols would mainly be greek letters (theta, phi, rho etc.) and I was thinking of just plotting the symbols (like an oval and a line for theta) but this seems pretty clunky. (I was also considering using an arrow pointing to it with the text). Does anyone know a better approach to create symbols with fixed orientation? Thanks.
