I am trying to use "split document view" to view one single file top/bottow for comparision. But the tab is grey and I cannot click on it. How can I use it?
The "display two documents side-by-side or top/bottom" works fine.
Thank you very much!
Lingzhu

I echo the need for the ability to show a single Livescript file with a split view, i.e. two windows that show different parts of the same file. Any file that's longer than a couple of pages is pretty hard to edit without sometimes looking at other parts.

HI Lingzhu, I am assuming that are using the latest version of MATLAB i.e., R2020a. If I understand your problem correctly, You are trying to compare two files in a top/bottom view.
If you are trying to open same file in both the views , MATLAB won't allow you to do so . Else, you can duplicate your file and can open the original and duplicate files in two separate views or you can use compare option present in Home Tab of MATLAB to compare two different files.
I hope this helps.

I agree with the previous two comments that the live editor should have a feature to split a single live script into two. R2021b does not have this feature. I use it all the time for .m files and is the main reason I don't use live scripts (.mlx files).

I also agree that the live editor should have the ability to do a split-screen view of a single live script. I suppose that there may be technical issues which make this hard, but I seriously doubt that it's impossible!
