Why doesn't kill line work in live script?

I see in the keyboard shortcuts an action named "Kill line" and it's bound to ^K (standard on macOS where I'm running). Under "Tools with shortcut" it says "All tools". The command works in the command window, but not while I'm editing a live script. Is it supposed to?

I'm getting the same behavior in 2020a. ^K works on normal (.m) scripts, but does nothing in live scripts.
Other control keys (^P/^N to go up/down lines, ^H/^D for delete and backspace) work fine, it only seems to be with ^K.

I also have the question on 2020a, macOS Catalina.
