appdesigner code view ANNOYANCE!

the appdesigner code view has gotten into a state where every time i start a new line it pops up a code completion thing to insert a new properties, methods, etc. section.

How do I turn this off?

In the code view window -> editor tab -> View section find 'Enable app coding alerts' and uncheck that.
