how to segment ear from face?

       I am doing my project on ear recognition,i need to segment ear image from face as a preprocessing step.
can anyone please help me?..

After you check the published literature: http://iris.usc.edu/Vision-Notes/bibliography/contents.html and pick an algorithm, and code it up, you can come back here with specific MATLAB questions. That's all we can say now, until the Mathworks finalizes their find_ear() function. ;-)

Perhaps. What have you done so far that you need help on? And it can't be so vague like "What do I do?" or "How do I start?". We can't write the app for you or else it's no longer your project. Ask a specific question.
