Matlab image data extraction

Is there any way to send a matlab workspace which contains pixel values of an image to the Modelsim? I already go through the matlab help page about connect matlab with modelsim but I cannot that find any specific solution related to my problem.I want to extrat the pixel values in my RTL project. Please give me any suggestion or solution.Thanks in advance.
