Normalizing in Shooting Method

I want my graph to look like this:
The only things I can think of is that my error equation is incorrect or I am using the wrong outputs from my ode45, but it gives me a worst graph when I try that. I could also be normalizing too late, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

xspan =[-L,h,L]
set to ' h ' lower interval

h = 0.1 is a requirement.
