Hi
I am looking for more clarity on the term used in calculating the load dependent effeciency in simple gear model.
η = TF/[gFB*Tidle + (k + 1)TF]
The k constant which is responsible ti curve fit the effeciency between zero to max is not elaborated in help file.
If anyone has any reference of this formulation or explanation pls share.
Thanks

Hi Mahesh,
The load-dependent efficiency model assumes that torque loss is equal to a constant value plus an additional loss linearly proportional to the transferred torque. The k term determines how much the loss increases with load.
The torque loss is
.
and the efficiency relates to the torque loss with
.
Rearranging, we get
or
.
After substitution, we get
.
