How to measure distance from Intel Realsense D435 to object

Hi everyone

I'm having a problem about how to meausure distance from my camera which is the Intel Realsense D435 to an object

I already detect an object, draw a bounding box for it and read the point cloud data from the camera

However, I don't know how to meausre distance from my camera to it

Another question is, the Realsense Camera have two video channels: one is the normal RGB and the others is the Stereo Module video

Can I use Matlab to acces and work with the Stereo module images
