phased.TwoRayChannel coherent signal collection

Hello,
I am using the phased.TwoRayChannel system object provided by the phasedarray system toolbox to model a TDM-MIMO FMCW Radar system (2 TX antennas and 4 RX antennas). I want to investigate the coherent superposition of line of sight and ground reflected ray. However, I am not sure about the CombinedRaysOutput property
In the Two-Ray Propagation example (https://in.mathworks.com/examples/phased-array/mw/phased-ex11665805-automotive-adaptive-cruise-control-using-fmcw-technology) the CombinedRaysOutput = true as per default. However the simulation I built up makes use of directional gain of the antenna-array. So I set the CombinedRaysOutput = false for the forward propagation channel
Is it correct that during signal collection by the phased.Collector system object, the two signals from both propagation paths are added up? Or do I have to set the CombinedRaysOutput = true for the backward channel?
Best regards and thanks in advance,
Dominic
