The Education license is not a bundle. You need to purchase matlab and then add on each Toolbox that you want (and its prerequisites ) .

The only bundle that exists is for Student Suite , which is not considered an Educational license .

Educational institutions can often negotiate prices for sets of toolboxes for multiple licenses , especially for Total Academic Headcount license . There are consortiums that might be relevant and in some countries there are arrangements available for all universities . Details would vary .

Actually, we are willing to buy MATLAB for a university project. To get acceptance from the university, we need to prepare a specification for the software including all the details such as included toolboxes, expiring period, the cost for maintenance etc. Two months ago we had to hold the process because of some issues but now we are ready to buy. So it will be a great help if you could provide specific sales contact(email) at MathWorks to collect the required information about purchasing.

By default, no toolboxes are included in the Education license: you have to select each one you need.

• Signal Processing Toolbox recommended
• DSP System Toolbox recommended
• HDL Verifier recommended

Beyond the above, you might need additional toolboxes depending upon what you are calculating. For example it is possible that you might need Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox.

It is common to use Simulink and Signal Processing Toolbox when one is creating HDL. DSP is a little less common but not unusual at all.

HDL Verifier https://www.mathworks.com/products/hdl-verifier.html is useful for testing HDL, but not always needed. If you were using MATLAB to try to create an HDL layout intended for widespread use, or for cases where it is important that mistakes not be made in control, then HDL Verifier would be strongly recommended.
