Hello everybody,

the diff(kummer(a, b, z), z) exists and equal to: (a*kummerU(a + 1, b, z)*(a - b + 1))/z - (a*kummerU(a, b, z))/z, but How about diff(kummer(a, b, z), a), matlab gives no answer ?

Hi adel,

Although there are various recurrence relations for M(a,b,z) in terms of M(a+-1,b,z) and M(a,b+-1,z), there are no simple expressions involving dM/da. It's just not that kind of a function.
