How does Mathworks handle Java Licensing in future Releases?

In future releases, will Mathworks bundle Matlab with an Oracle-Java JRE, or is this up to the customer to take care for a proper installed and supported Java version? Are Matlab and its Toolboxes compatible with OpenJDK?

I would be surprised if anybody knew the answer on this forum. And even if they knew, I suspect it would be under a non-disclosure agreement.
