Find older version of my m-file.

Hi,
I wonder if there is any way to go back and find older savings of your m-file even after you overwrote it?
Because by mistake, I overwrote one of my m-files with another mfile when I was copying some parts of my original mfile.
I cant use the "Undo" button since it is grayish...
Any advice or is it a lost mfile?
Kind Regards, Fredrik

Look for the Autosave file. Extension is ASV - same folder.

Thanks for the answer.
What can I do with the asv file? It is still not "old" enough, I need to go further back!

Then you are out of luck unless you have been making backups yourself or your system is configured to make backups. (For example, on an OS-X system you could use Time Machine if you had it configured.)
