I am using the MATLAB R2018a to developed a control system for the mini-UAV PARROT Mambo, which is included on the Simulink Support Package for Parrot Minidrones, but when I try to upload the MATLAB firmware into Mambo, the Hardware Setup does not found it (¨No Minidrone detected¨), even though I can access it through the OS.
I have tried everything suggested on the MATLAB Answers page and nothing has worked, so I supposed that the Hardware Setup interfaces tries to copy the file mambo.plf to the root folder of the Minidrone in order to update the firmware. I did it manually and then I could connect to it through Bluetooth and even perform the ¨parrot_gettingstarted¨, where all the motors rotated as expected.
I followed the webinar ¨Programming Drones with Simulink¨ to change the height reference and hover, following the procedure to perform a previous simulation where everything was fine, but when I uploaded the software to the Minidrone and started the real flight, it took-off, hovered for about 3 seconds and became unstable, thereby falling. I returned to the original firmware, and I flew it a little bit and the hardware was intact.
By any chance is this related to manually updating the firmware, instead of doing it through the ¨Hardware Setup¨ interface? If it is the case, how can I fix it?
