linmod function for linearizing IEEE Second Benchmark System

One of my tasks is to find the small signal model of the IEEE Second Benchmark system [1] to find the state space model of the whole system (which includes a Synchronous Generator, Turbine and Governor, Exciter system, transmission line) and find the eigenvalues of the 'A' matrix of the system. I wanted to know whether I can use the MATLAB function 'linmod' or 'dlinmod' directly to perform the above described task?

There is a similar work in book "Dynamic simulations of electrical machinery using MAtlab Simulink" and the eigenvalue analysis of IEEE SSR 1st benchmark is similar to what you want. You can find the m files and simulink files on mathworks.com, but the files are a little bit out dated.
