Email retrieval through Matlab

Hi,

Currently, i'm using the sendmail function to send emails from within my program to myself. Occasionally, i require more information upon receiving an email and was wondering if there is a function similar to sendmail which would allow matlab to retrieve an email, and not just send one. Does anyone have any ideas?
