Hello everybody,
I am trying to solve a PDE which has the form:
dC/dt = (5+c)^2/{(5+c)^2+5}d2C/dx2
Can Matlab solve such a equation like that? If it can, how can I set it up?
I would appreciate for any help.
Thank you for your help in advance.

MATLAB can very much solve..anything......have a look on ode45.....if you want to solve it numerically.....have a look on dsolve if you want to solve it analytically..

Rewrite the equation as
[(5+c)^2/{(5+c)^2+5}]^(-1) * dC/dt = d^2C/dx^2
and use MATLAB's "pdepe".
Best wishes
Torsten.
