Is a point inside a specific domain?

Hi all,
I plot gridded data from a rotated grid using axesm to define axis and pcolorm to plot the field. I would like to know if the coordinates of specific points falls inside or outside my plotted domain. What would be the most effective way to do that?

What is a "rotated grid" exactly? What is a "field"? Can you post the relevant part of the code?
