I have data gathered from sensors from a vehicle including accelerometers, gyros, magnetometers and linear potentiometers. I want to somehow define an event such as "going over a bump". This can easily be seen in plots of the data as peaks in G(vert), potentiometer length decrease, roll in body etc, over a time period, eg 2 seconds.
Does Matlab, or one of its toolboxes, have the ability to define this event by the changes in sensors readings?
Then once defined use this classification to analyse how many times this event has occurred over the full data set?
Note: I am not actually recording data on a vehicle, this was just used as an example.
