How to make a 'browse window' to search for documents

Hello,

I'm relatively new at making GUIs in matlab and I was just wondering how you could go about making a explorer window that would allow you to look for a file to upload. Basically, I want the 'user' to upload data by selecting the file by going through the file directories on the computer.

You speak of uploading. Is the implication that the files to be gone through are on the user's local machine and not on the machine that Matlab is running on?
