Intersection of two line segments

I have two lines L1 :[x1 x2],[y1 y2] and L2: [x3 x4],[y3 y4]. I need to find their intersection. Is there any builtin matlab function to find the intersection?

No, at least not for line segments. Lines are trivial.
But you can download intersections from the file exchange, written by Doug Schwarz.

Which does require the mapping toolbox.
