How to combine NARX with CNN?

I currently have built a NARX neural network for traffic flow prediction, which doesn't perform as well as I would have liked. When feeding it more data its performance doesn't improve. I read online that deep learning neural networks have the capability to learn more over time, so I would like to add some deep learning layers to my NARX network. However, I am new to machine learning, and the MATLAB Neural Networks toolbox, so I can't seem to grasp how I would be able to do that.

If it is a possibility, please give me some pointers on what I can do!
