Hi
could anyone explain what is the major different between Three-Phase PI Section Line and Distributed Parameter Line and which one fits Transmission line best ?
Thanks

The PI Section model represents the transmission line with parameters lumped in a PI section. In the Distributed Parameters Line model, the resistance, inductance, and capacitance are uniformly distributed along the line. The choice between these models depends on the length of the transmission line and the required accuracy. For short to medium-length lines, the PI Section model is generally good enough. For longer lines, the Distributed Parameter model may be preferred due to its higher accuracy.
